The 12 Healers in Medical Astrology

featuring Kira Sutherland

Many forms of natural medicine come in the number 12. Dr. Edward Bach originally created 12 flower essences referred to as the 12 healers. Dr. Schussler coined the term cell salts or tissue salts which are the 12 mineral combinations that the body needs to maintain homeostasis. In this lecture, naturopath and medical astrologer Kira Sutherland will take you on a journey around the 12 astrological signs and their corresonding rulerships in energetic medicine. This is a practical workshop where you will learn to apply these remedies to the natal, progressed chart and much more.

Kira Sutherland is a highly experienced, award-winning naturopath, nutritionist, herbalist and
medical astrologer living in Australia. She divides her time between clinical practice and
writing/lecturing on these subjects and is known for her vibrant, straightforward teaching
style. She has lectured around the world and uses her 25 years of clinical experience and vast
knowledge of healing in combination with her passion for medical astrology into a beautiful mix of mind/body medicine. Visit her website at kirasutherland.com.au

Cultivating Intentional Relationships with the Davison Chart

featuring Mo Olufemi

Davison Relationship Charts present unique advantages to synastry and midpoint composite charts, making them useful for contextualizing the purpose of relationships. In this workshop, participants will be introduced to interpretive principles for these charts. We will work through case studies of romantic, familial, professional and adversarial relationships to see these principles in practice.

Mo is a North American traditional astrologer specializing in Hellenistic and Medieval timing techniques. She began her journey with Jyotish. She is also versed in the combination of tarot with astrological correspondences via the Golden Dawn traditions. In particular, she focuses on utilizing the “lesser” dignities such as triplicity, bounds and decans to provide extra nuance when delineating charts. She also has a vested interest in using these nuances within essential dignity to understand key themes within relationships, since she is also a big proponent of using the Davison Relationship Chart.

Fixed Signs: Staying, Generating and Growing Power

featuring Tara Aal

The fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius) want value, meaning and purpose. They show us where and how we need more staying, generating and growing power. When working with fixed energy (by sign or house), things aren’t always stuck, and sometimes the habits, patterns and realities we are stuck in seem quite free or flexible. Anything can turn rigid, even our addictions to freedom. If you have strongly fixed signatures in your birth chart or are going through a significant fixed-type transit or progression, what does it mean and what can you do to move with evolutionary intention? Join Tara to explore how to get your fixed energy working for you.

Tara Aal is an evolutionary astrologer, writer, educator, artist and tarot reader. She is the co-author of “Astrology by Moonlight” and “Natural Astrology.” Tara has been practicing since 2011 and sees clients, teaches and speaks (including at NORWAC, UAC, Kepler College and ISAR). She’s passionate about experiential astrology, including the practice called Living Planets 1st, and currently serves on the International Society for Astrological Research (ISAR) Board as Vice-President. Connect with her at TaraAal.com.

Navigating Zodiacal Difference

featuring Mat Dragonstone

The diversity of signification between astrologies can be baffling, especially given the ways in which any one astrological system can (if applied correctly) seemingly explain everything. We expect at least similarity in descriptions of discrete parts of the sky, and yet we are often thwarted in our attempts to make sense of other astrologies from within our own. Rather than presenting a radical unifying theory of astrology, this webinar seeks to provide the intrepid astrological wayfarer with a guide to understanding diverse astrological systems by way of translation.

Dr. Mat Dragonstone is an astrologer, tarot reader, and talisman maker based in Melbourne, Australia. Visit his website at dragonstoneastrology.com

Ceres: An Antidote for Pluto

featuring Faye Blake

Ceres was upgraded to a dwarf planet in 2006, so she is now on the same level as Pluto, who was downgraded at the same time. Finally we have a feminine archetype fit to do battle with Pluto! Ceres is able to counteract misuse of power – she protected plebeian laws and rights from the ruling patricians.

Faye will also discuss Ceres’ role in the Coronavirus pandemic, environmental themes and the problems of the disenfranchised. Ceres’ position between Mars – individual will, and Jupiter – politicians, makes her the ideal goddess to study on issues relating to democracy too.

This is our regular monthly EAS meeting – attendance is free for all EAS members, and $10 for non-members. Click here for more details.

Saturday, October 5, 2024 – 10am to 12:30pm MT (in-person and online)

Vocational Astrology

featuring Faye Blake

Faye’s approach to vocational work is to engage the client in the process and help them discover: Who am I? What am I capable of? What do I want? A vocational profile, which can be used life-long, is the result of this process. We will look at a few parts of this profile: What is your calling? What are your talents? What communication skills do you have that can you put to good use? Faye will also discuss how to profile yourself in a resumé, website or on social media.

If there is time, Faye will take examples from the audience. So bring your chart, preferably with Ceres added and in Koch houses.

This is a special event – click here for pricing and registration information.

What time is it? The magic of the 72 year Huber Age Point cycle

featuring Faye Blake

The horoscope can be seen as a clock. This idea was developed in the 60′s by Bruno Huber, a Swiss astrologer who created the technique of Age Progression and the Age Point which, in his view, highlights psychological development. Faye will briefly explain the 72-year Huber cycle and provide case studies showing that it has relevance for companies and countries as well as individuals. She has used this technique for over 30 years and has found it one of the most useful tools in the Astro toolkit. Her dissertation for her MA in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology offered a model for organizational development based on this idea. One of her papers also researched experiences of clients at age 45, a particularly interesting time, using this system. Bring your chart with Koch houses.

This is a special event – click here for pricing and registration information.

New Zealand-born Faye offers an innovative mix of services: she’s a counselling astrologer
and therapist, and she’s also a business consultant who offers original ways to use astrology
in the working environment. A hands-on approach to vocational astrology has made Faye a
sought-after speaker at schools and conferences internationally. Her book ‘Vocational
Astrology’ forms the basis of her tailor-made Vocational Apprenticeship program.

Apart from her vocational work, Faye is a passionate advocate of the Huber Life Clock
method and for using Ceres, who is now a dwarf planet. She is founder of the Amsterdam
School of Astrology in her adopted home of The Netherlands. Faye holds an M.A. in Cultural
Astronomy and Astrology. Her free monthly blog covers a wide range of topics.
